Shaped by the great rock icons — including Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin — Marie‑Louise has been singing her whole life, delivering wide vocal range and high‑voltage energy every time she steps onto the stage. Her vocal development was shaped by many mentors through years of classical and jazz training, including her studies at the California Jazz Conservatory and work with living jazz legends Kitty Margolis and Raz Kennedy, among others. She also grew up playing the flute, deepening her musical foundation — and through it all, her heart has always belonged to rock and roll. Now fronting Led Joplin and The Humdinger Band, she fuses rock grit with the precision of her formal training. Texas‑born and Calistoga‑raised, she cut her teeth in bands like Marie‑Louise & Jazz Habit, AlwaysElvis, and Kerouac.

Born in South America and raised in Philadelphia, Haley Mears possesses a soulful, evocative voice with raw emotional fire. Shaped by an eclectic childhood mix of jazz, classic rock, and 1980's pop, Haley's lifelong passion led her to study voice under elite mentors like Lynn Asher, Sandy Griffith, and Raz Kennedy. She previously fronted the 9-piece R&B-infused James Moseley Band, collaborated on original projects with Michael LaMacchia, and currently sings with her hard rock band, dBRx. Haley has performed at premier Bay Area venues like the Great American Music Hall and SF Jazz. Deeply inspired by Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin, her expressive storytelling, fierce energy, and irreverent banter forge intimate connections that stir the soul and move the body.

Self-taught drummer Robin started playing at age 10. She has performed with many bands, including 140 shows with legendary blues guitarist Luther Tucker before his death in 1993. Robin recorded with Soul Divine, Firesign, and The JacksonVillains. She has played at top Bay Area venues like The Fillmore, Sweetwater Music Hall, Slim's, Great American Music Hall, The Independent, Bottom of the Hill, DNA Lounge, and Paradise Lounge. Her style includes rock solid grooves punctuated by tasty complex fills. A New Yorker, and now based in Petaluma, when she’s not working on innovative polyrhythmic grooves and fills, she paints and exhibits her art at her City Art Cooperative Gallery in San Francisco.

Tim Romain is a seasoned bassist whose roots trace to the late ’70s and early ’80s, when disco and funk first pulled him toward the low end. Though initially steered toward guitar, that detour shaped the melodic, rhythmic sensibility he later brought to bass. A naturally curious musician, Tim explored keyboards, drums, brass instruments, guitar, and stand-up bass before finding his true home at eighteen, when a borrowed P-bass copy instantly clicked. Self-taught and feel-driven, he learned by locking in with records and radio, developing a warm, reliable groove. He has played in regional bands including Stacey’s Groove Kitchen and Sonic Funk, adapting across funk, blues, and rock while consistently bringing unmistakable “in-the-music” energy live.

Born in Pittsburgh, Ian Scherer began on trumpet before finding his voice on guitar at 14. He earned a performance scholarship to Duquesne University and later double‑majored in guitar performance and jazz composition at the University of Pittsburgh. After moving to Northern California in 1996, he performed with artists including Jamaican star Lutan Fyah, members of The Heavies, and Eric Levy of Garaj Mahal. Known for his stylistic range, Scherer moves easily between jazz, rock, reggae, funk, and acoustic work. In 2023, he expanded into soundtrack composition for Cypress Films / Showtime Network and joined A.S.C.A.P. He has been nominated three consecutive years for Jazz Artist of the Year at the NORBAYS and is a sought‑after instructor at Bananas at Large Music in Santa Rosa.
